상단 막기 — High Block
Sangdan Makgi: the upward block used to deflect attacks to the head. Focus on the rotation of the forearm and proper chamber position.
수도 막기 — Knife Hand Block
Sudo Makgi: the open-hand blocking technique performed from back stance. Pay attention to the simultaneous chamber of both hands.
하단 막기 — Down Block
Hadan Makgi: the low block used to deflect attacks to the lower body. Essential technique appearing in Taegeuk Cho Dan and beyond.
Kicks (Chagi)
Essential kicks — front kick, roundhouse, side kick, and back kick — broken down step by step with chamber, extension, and retraction cues.
